Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department Open House Coming Soon

It's time for fun and free food again when the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department hosts its annual Open House.

Visitors to the annual Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department Open House will have a chance to check out all the department's vehicles.

The event, from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Mahopac Falls Main Station, 17 Luccaro Lane off of Route 6N, will include demonstrations, hands-on activities for kids and adults, a safety trailer to learn about fire safety, and a chance for all to spray the fire hoses and try on firefighter gear.

Other highlights include child fingerprinting by the Putnam Sheriff's Office, a landing by the Life Net helicopter and demonstrations by the dive team, motor vehicle extrication and more.

There will also be plenty of free food and drinks for all visitors.
